Mission
The Biomedical Research Model Services (BRMS) Animal Facilities and Husbandry program is committed to assisting researchers in making significant discoveries in biological and medical science by maintaining facilities and providing animal care that exceeds regulatory standards while providing a safe and welcoming workplace for all. This Program facilitates animal research across the UW campus providing animal care and facility management in 10 vivaria and providing support to related Core Units.

Facilities
BRMS oversees ~130,000ft2 of animal housing and support space across twelve facilities on and off campus. A large, dedicated staff of animal care professionals manages these facilities while providing high quality care to a variety of research animals.
